Stashbusting Report and Camp Loopy 3

Well there’s good news and bad news about the stashbusting report.  The good news – about 5 yards used for a quilt I’m working on.  The bad news – vendors galore at Wisconsin Quilt Expo — remember those photos I posted of fabrics yesterday – well all those little pieces added up to about 11 yards.  Oh well, it could have  been worse.

My Camp Loopy 3 project – the jumbo Multnomah shawl (twice the size or more than the actual pattern which can be found on Ravelry) is blocked, the photo was added and I’m officially complete with all my Camp Loopy projects.  Whew!

If you want to see some great knitting eye candy – check out the Loopy Ewes photo galleries for the three Camp Loopy projects.  Tons of shawls, mittens, scarfs, sweaters, vests.  I, of course, found several projects I want to add to my list to make.  But it’s nice to see them made up by others in different yarns and see how they turned out.

Then I decided to work a little on a quilt project I had rolling about in my brain.  I had a page of little hand drawn scribbles as ideas.  I was only going to work on a block or two — yeah right — I should know better than that.  Hopefully there are some clothes in the closet for me to wear to work since I didn’t bother to do any laundry which was on my list.  Instead it was… one more block… draw one more block.  So here is what I’ve been up to…I call it Child’s Play.  Its’ just sort of randomly colored in with solid colors and a thing here or there needs a bit of tweaking, but it turned out pretty close to the image I had in my mind’s eye.

But the day has definitely gotten away from me!

Remember tomorrow night I’ll be announcing the EQ Boutique gift certificate winner so last call to enter – find the blog post that announces the give away and leave a comment there and you could end up a winner! 🙂
