On to the Second Row

Well that’s annoying – my blog post went haywire saving and it disappeared off into the ether.  So here’s a shorter version of what I wrote.

I think I had posted about ordering some white tart ornament pans from Fat Quarter Shop.  They arrived much quicker than usual and I do love them but Chubby Bird is too chubby for them.  They are smaller (in diameter than the black tart pans I have and also the fluted edge is not as wide)  but are so cute and I like the fact that they are one piece rather than two and have that hanging cord incorporated into them.  I will definitely be making a bunch of little stitches to put in them.  I also got the sticky board precut circles and those will be such a time saver.  The smaller size fit the white pans and the larger will work for some other round ornaments I want to make (or you could use the smaller to mount your stitching on and the larger covered in fabric as a backer for it).  So I am very happy with all of those.

Here’s progress thru last night on Three Things – so I’m on to the second row of that alphabet and now have the width of the piece established.

1-2-23 progress

Today’s FCA – please only play along if you are a linen stitcher.  This one has a lot of specialty stitches in it that will not work on other fabrics – which is why I’m passing it along.   That glare of plastic doesn’t help but you can see the chart but you can search the chart name on 123Stitch.com  and see a better version of the stitching if you are interested.

UPDATED 1–5-23 AT 4:50PM – THIS FCA HAS CLOSED.  ALL RECIPIENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED THIS WEEKEND.
