Prairie Schooler Santa Start

Since I finished my June Camp stitching early, I decided it was time to start on a gift item or two that I plan to make.  There’s a couple little things I want to stitch for Christmas giving so pulled out a Prairie Schooler Santa that will be a gift and started on that last night.  Here’s how far I am.

I’m stitching on a leftover piece of 18 count Vintage Country Mocha.  I’m not using all the called for colors – mostly because I misread the number of the red and instead of 221 grabbed 321 but I like the bit brighter look of it.  The boots were supposed to be a dark gray too but my Santa has black boots.  I will probably finish it like the prior one I did so won’t be stitching that dotted line around the perimeter or the words, and I will likely be adding a little cardinal to it somewhere from the prior chart I did.

Miss Bingley’s Library is also coming along well – which is also a gift – but I’m still slogging along on the big white house but it’s nearly done.

  1. Love your Prairie Schooler Santas. Something I’ve just scrolled past, but yours end up so cute that at some point I may have to give them a try.
