I started my St. Nicholas Day stitch on St. Nicholas Day eve – so yesterday afternoon – and I finished it last night. It’s so little and cute. It’s a Prairie Schooler but the Old World Santas are smaller than their other Santa ornaments. I did him on 18 count and the stitched area at the moment is about 2 by 3″. There is a backstitched line that is charted around him as sort of a border but I’m waiting for the piece I want to finish him on as an ornament to arrive (tomorrow I think) before deciding if that backstitched line should be added or not. But here he is – he’s not much wider than the length of my needle stuck in the fabric off to the side.

He’s cute!
Cute and quick!
So cute!
Terrific! I will be happy to see your finished ornament.
That’s a lot of stitching for something that size! So, so cute!
I know – so tiny compared to all the things I’ve stitched so far. I may have to break out the cord twister machine when I do the finishing on this but will have to watch Vonna’s video again before that happens.
