Quilting Central

Now that Pinbasting Central has been accomplished – time to move on to some quilting.  At least that’s my plan for today.  In addition to the wedding quilt – these two smaller projects are now also pin basted

DSCN4202The one on the left I pieced back in 2011 and you can see the original border I had on it there — the colors went well but I’ve since decided it looked too busy and took it off for a bit more modern wall hanging look.  It was also on my UFO list back when friend Judy was doing a UFO challenge in 2012 — needless to say – it didn’t get completed then.  I should look back at that UFO list to see how many others on it are still in the top stash.

I think I may start on the smaller ones today first.  I may need to go shopping for some thread for the wedding quilt.

  1. Love your basted, ready to quilt projects. I like the idea of having more that one ready to quilt. It’s the basting that slows me down. I had to go back and see how many of my 2012 UFOs I haven’t finished. Only 3. I’m hoping they will make it off the long list soon. Happy quilting.

    • Exactly – the “thought” of basting slows me down. Once I got started it really didn’t seem that bad. Clearly I must have put all the wrong projects on that UFO list. LOL I went back and looked and I hit 50% — half of the list was finished and the other half are still waiting.
