Dog Pound Plans Adoption Society Block loaded and giveaway

For anyone who was wondering …. where the heck is the DPPAS BOM installment that should have been posted the first Saturday of the month — which yes, was yesterday — well it’s on the DPPAS page now.  I totally spaced it out yesterday.    So you can now download the instructions.  And, in those instructions you’ll see that I still have a stack of these oh so adorable (not that I’m biased or anything)  Dog Pound Pal Adoption Society calendars for 2015 – each month showcasing a different one of the block designs we are calendarusing.  They need to find a new home before 2015 starts — and it’s quickly sneaking up on me!!

The larger calendar (to hang on a wall) has the images at left and then the lower photo is the smaller calendar  the top part folds into another section so it stands up on a desk or counter (like the kinds insurance agents always used to give out) 😉

Just leave a comment on this blog post and I’ll be drawing a bunch of names —  you have much better odds in winning! — so I can get them out in the mail.    I’ll be announcing the first batch of winners on Saturday, Nov. 8.  You must be participating in the DPPAS and not previously won any calendar in order to enter.

ETA  please add just one comment if you are a member of DPPAS to be entered in the giveaway.  If it doesn’t show up right away it’s simply gone into moderation and won’t show up until I approve it.

  1. Denise I can just say thank you for a great pattern which I will treasure for years
to come and will be past on to my grand children.
Love the calendars so very much too.

  2. Still plodding away on my blocks and looking forward to having them done, so I can hang this puppy up! I would love to have one of your gorgeous calendars to hang in my sewing room and motivate me all the more! Thanks for taking the time to design and share this lovely quilt

  3. Love your designs and although I’m behind on making my puppies, I’m anxious to get back to them and complete this quilt! The calendars are adorable too! Thank you for sharing your wonderful designs with us.

  4. Denise, Thanks for designing and sharing these puppies with us. It’s been a fun process making the blocks. A couple of these pooches remind me of our adopted pups. It’s a nice tribute to all those adopted pets!! You’ve been so generous with us and for that I truly appreciate it. Happy sewing!

  5. I, too, am still working on my blocks. My plan for my quilt is to give it to the local pet rescue “People for Paws”. They have a community retailers style show for one of their bigger money makers and I thought adding in selling tickets for a raffle of my quilt would be a fun thing to add to their style show! I have until April to finish but want to get it done as soon as possible so the quilt can be displayed before the style show time in April. BTW – I am on their board of directors so I have a special interest in this rescue. 🙂

  6. I have enjoyed making every dog and they look at me every day from my design wall. Would love a calendar to remind me of them when I finish the quilt and give it to a special boy.

  7. The calendars look really cute Denise. I am a little behind because I have been overseas to the US. But I am back now and will get back to making the next blocks – in my case, the setting blocks and the bones and the borders.

  8. I’d really Love to have a calendar. I need to finish the last couple dogs so I can get the quilt together. Funny how life sometimes gets in the way of what we want to be doing.

  9. I also need to get working on my quilt for my granddaughter. I love these puppies, the calendars are really cute

  10. As the proud mommy of a rescue puppy (and several rescue kitties and dogs in the past), this calendar is the cutest ever!!! Is there a contact where I can order one?
