Yarn yarn yarn………………

esk Yes – the yarn shopping from Black Friday arrived today.

Both ESK and TLE box of fun — and what fun indeed!

This pile of Madelinetosh Vintage in Firewood is to make the Autumn Leaves stole.

Then there’s this pile — the Wollmeise pile.

Then as I was trying to decide what patterns to use the Wollmeise on, I came across the 31 Flavors Poncho.  That is exactly the style I have been searching for!  I emailed Judy to tell her about the pattern to see if she had seen it yet.  She loved it too and reminded me of the Cyber Monday sale at TLE — solid yarns on sale.  I’m not blaming her for my next purchase – it was a public service announcement that she reminded me!  And I had most of the cost of the yarn just siting there  in Loopy reward dollars to redeem in my account!  Might as well finish out the year with a bang!

But ….. cue the Twilight Zone theme music here…. I emailed Judy a copy of the photos of the yarn I had ordered for the 31 Flavors Poncho that I snagged off my invoice – courtesy of TLE.  I seem to buy lots of Green – usually darker green – browns and blues so I decided to try something a little different.

The main body of the poncho will be the banana cream (I’ve been wanting pie ever since I saw the name of that yarn) and the stripes will be Celery (I have NOT been craving celery).

Judy sent me the image  of what she got….. wait until she posts her yarn choices.  You will see…… (continue the twilight zone theme song)  Banana Cream and ….no not celery but a green a shade or two darker — and I originally had that color in my cart and then decided to go a bit lighter.

How bizarre is that!  Clearly we just have excellent taste in yarn colors.  😉
