Both design walls have something different on them this week. The smaller one has these four lone blocks
It’s part of a challenge donation quilt I started on this weekend. More blocks are cut and I need to find some more stitching time.
The larger design wall has my nephew’s music quilt on it.
The first two rows are sewn together. I’ve got vacation coming up Friday through Memorial Day and my only plan is to spend much time sewing, knitting and weaving. Many quilts are waiting to be completed them.
Now if you’re not interested in Camp Loopy – read no further.
But I’m very excited because it’s nearly Camp Loopy time once again!
The first Camp Loopy project has been announced on Sheri’s blog for The Loopy Ewe. If you love to knit or crochet – you too could go to camp!
I love doing the camp projects – This is my 3rd year at camp. The first Camp project is making something (anything) out of a single skein of lace or fingering weight yarn but it has to be at least 375 yards worth in your project. AND, it is to be a yarn you’ve never used before. That was the tough part – picking something I haven’t tried.
My yarn is ordered — I ordered SpaceCadet Creations – Oriana – in Quilt Blue color. A soft pale blue color. Of course I had to order the little owl knitting bag for camp (every good camper must have their backpack). (and maybe a hank or two of plain yarn for a weaving project — yes, I know the loom was supposed to be busting the stash not adding to the shopping for more yarn but I had an idea for a gift I want to make later this summer).
I don’t know what I’ll make yet for the first Camp Loopy project – I’ll have to do some searching on Ravelry to see what patterns I might find.
Okay Judy L — do you have your Camp order placed yet? Anyone else going to Camp Loopy this summer?
