Fall Quilting Projects

Looking for a new fall quilting project — here the weather has switched decidedly to Fall in the last week with temps in the mid 50s for highs, windy a bit drizzly, and I keep tracking wet leaves into the house.

EQ Boutique is having a sale on the designs that honor the Fall / Halloween season but it ends on the 24th so be sure to check them out and use the code listed above to take advantage of the sale on those items.

Remember – you do not need to have any version of Electric Quilt in order to use these patterns!  And if you just want to see what it’s all about and how it works – you can take advantage of the free block collections that are available.

As luck would have it — I have two patterns that fall (no pun intended) under the Fall category — Thankful Bounty, my own personal most favorite fall design I’ve made — turkey, pumpkins, leaves and lots of all colors throughout — I’m going to have to pull that one out of the closet and put it back up on the wall now that it’s seasonal once again.

The other design is Harvest Time — apples, pumpkins, cattails, sunflowers, a black crow and flying geese border.  I haven’t actually made this one yet myself so that may be the new fall project I work on this fall.

  1. I had so much fun making Thankful Bounty. It was outside my usual color range–and I got to make one or two fabric purchases.
It’s now gone on to live with a recipient of our prayer quilt ministry.
The other day I found some left over nine patches from that quilt along with some small pieces of the fabrics, and I passed them on to another quilter in my little town.

    • It was definitely in my color range but I very seldom really do scrappy that that was the challenge for me. Glad you enjoyed making it Dora.
