Summer Sale at EQ Boutique!!!!

Yes that’s right – a weekend sale.  If you haven’t tried EQ Boutique – why the heck not. LOL  Seriously, there are lots of great block collections and quilt patterns by lots of great designers (and I’m not saying that just because I’m one of them). 🙂  And heck – they have free block collections to try out too.  And if you missed out on Quiltmaker 100 Blocks early magazine editions – they have the first two editions now available which means you can print any of the 100 quilt blocks in any size you like, not just in the 12″ block size that was available in the magazine. Think of the possibilities.  And a designer by the name of Denise Russart has a couple really cute designs for sale there too. 😉  (hey, a little self-marketing is a good thing).  Like the Dog Pound Pals – probably one of my most favorite block collections so far.   But….. back to the sale… it’s just for the weekend and the code you need to enter is below and I’ve listed the link to the website too.  Happy shopping!

On the Needles Friday – 7/20 (Rockefeller Spoiler)

Ah – I just popped over to Judy’s blog and realized it’s On the Needles Friday time.  I normally have to wait until the end of the day to add my progress but can I say it once again… VACATION!!! 🙂

What’s on the needles is the Rockefeller KAl.  Compared to the photo I posted yesterday, I’m a bit farther along and think I only have about 4 or 5 more wedges before I can move on to clue 2, which is printed off and waiting.

Lunchtime already?

I haven’t even had breakfast yet nor gotten dressed!  The perfect start to vacation. 🙂 Tho I just realized its lunchtime cause I was getting hungry – just coffee is not doing the trick!

But I haven’t been lazing entirely.  Got a few more rows done on the KAL mystery earlier this a.m. and have downloaded the next clue that came out today.

Then I was looking for an old EQ file I wanted to work on and have spent a couple hours playing in EQ after I finally found it.  And the upside of all that time playing….. I’ve decided which design will be used for my birthday pattern.

Since starting the blog I’ve always made a new pattern available for free on my birthday and this year will be no exception, so look for information on Flitterin’ Four  to be posted  July 28.

I like this butterfly design and originally drew it  for a pattern for Hoffman California Fabrics but it ended up not working well for the fabric collection I was working on so it went to the  “do something with this someday” EQ folder.

Here’s another version of it colored in with asian style fabrics.

  And here’s another version….

now time to get dressed and perhaps head to the grocery store – or do nothing at all (well that’s simply not me – too much I want to do) but ah the beauty of vacations with no schedule to follow. Doesn’t get much better.

Oh except I found out earlier this week that I will have a block in the next (Winter) edition of Quiltmaker 100 Blocks.  🙂
