Janet P – you asked what my fertile mind was up to — well it wasn’t up to thinking too hard so I decided to work on a pattern that a friend had sent me – just a simple little quilt. The quilt is done up in a much larger print for the main fabric but I didn’t have enough yardage to fussy cut any of my large prints so opted for just a pretty floral. The green shows up more yellow than it is -it’s a much prettier shade of springy green but as usual getting photos in my sewing room in the evening doesn’t let the true colors come through. But here it is… super simple to make. It’s called BQ2 by Maple Island Quilts.
The blue is a tone on tone leaf print that is a coordinate to the floral and I’ve got a stripe coodinate with rows of flowers etc that I’m hoping I have enough of to do mitered borders. But enough sewing for tonight.
And Joanne sent photo of two of her Granny’s Hankie blocks made into pillows. She decided she wanted to switch her background fabric so turned the two blocks she had done into these lovely pillows.
The are all gorgeous ladies. Thanks for sharing the pics. I’ll get them added to their respective pages soon.
Now I think I may delve once again to the UFO boxes and see what I might want to finish up next……
