Quilting Progress

I got a little stitching done tonight.  Finally got the last pieces added to my February Granny’s Hankie Block.   Just need to press it and square it up.

So are you going to spend today, National Quilting Day, doing something quilty?  Sewing, trip to the quilt shop?

My plan, at least at the moment which of course is always subject to change 🙂 is to get the borders on that darn cupcake quilt.  Also hope to get the fabrics pulled for the March Granny’s Hankie block and get the pieces ready for that.

If you’re looking for something to work on, there’s the new Year of Wallhangings design now available – March, In Like a Lion, Like a Lamb.  Along with Stepping Stones, which I posted in honor of National Quilting Day.

So celebrate the day – get those fabrics out and play!

Stepping Stones – National Quilt Day Project

I got this done ahead of time and box.net was being cooperative so the pfd file instructions are now available.  You’ll find it in the right sidebar under Weekend Projects.

I have a bunch of hand dyed squares precut – a smaller size – but I think I may adapt it to use those  and maybe make a long tablerunner to cover my breakfast bar.

Hope you find some thing quilty to do tomorrow for National Quilting Day!
