What was put on the design wall?

Still playing catch up since that 3 day weekend threw me off – not that I’m complaining about having a long weekend mind you.

First, here’s what ended up on the design wall on Monday.

four more holiday blocks – in more traditional red and greens.  There was acutally sashing cut and stored with the blocks and they seem to be the right sizes to fit together so that must have been the plan.  I’ve started on the plum basket project and hope to have that done later this week and then move on to those holiday blocks.

But in the meantime, here’s what was on and off the design wall last weekend.  They were just blocks and now are quilted and bound and once again all the added borders, bindings and sashings came out of the stash!

The Autumn table runner was designed in EQ for The Quilting Posts’s seasonal wallhanging project.  I designed one for each of the four seasons.  Fall is my favorite season here in Wisconsin – all the lovely trees turning – which is starting already, but they could hold off on that for a little while longer.

The SNOW tablerunner is long and skinny to fit my breakfast bar.  That was an alternate seasonal pattern and the instructions were previously posted here for that one.

The sunflower wallhanging is for a summer mini quilt swap.  The sunflower is drawn in pigma pen and then colored with Prang crayons and heat set.  And there’s still a few more projects I got quilted this past weekend that I’m still stitching bindings on.  It was a very productive couple of days! WHEW!  Now where is the maid – someone really made a mess in my sewing room!
