2012 UFO Challenge

December 24, 2012

Friend Judy has issued another UFO Challenge for 2012.  If you click on her name you can see all the participants.  You pick 12 UFOs to complete during 2012.  Each month Judy will pick random number 1 through 12 and that’s the UFO you complete (hopefully) that month.  My problem will be picking which projects to put on the list.  If you wish to join, you need to add your list to Judy’s page by January 1, 2012.

Over the next couple of days I’ll be digging through the UFOs to see which ones I want to put on my list and posting photos of them here.  They can be in any stage of UFO-ness – and I have many that are just blocks, tops to be quilted (way too many), some that need additional blocks made in order to finish, etc.  Check back and see which ones make my list. :-)

Well I have finally decided on which UFOs to put on my Challenge List.  It’s a bit ambitious since nearly all of them have to be machine quilted.  But I’ll give it a shot.  So here’s the list.

I’ll be posting photos of the projects as they are finished on this page and crossing them off the list.  But, you can see photos of the projects as they currently stand today at this post.

Wacky Hearts – completed

Frozen Delights – completed

Just Butterflies – completed

I didn’t meet the sign up deadline, but have been trying out needle turn applique. I have a goal – to make the Baltimore Halloween quilt that is on the quilted crow website… It is a huge learning curve for me, but so far have finished one wallhanging (I didn’t find your website in time to do your 2011 series – sorry). So…. that is my challenge to myself in 2012.

As far as UFO’s go, I have completed 3 quilt tops this year, and have one more to put the borders on. One of the tops is now ready to have the binding sewn down and label put on, then its a completed project.
