It arrived today — friend Judy’s Loopy Legend yarn that’s named in her honor. You can read about it here. My photo does not really do it justice.
I’ve already decided what I want to do with it too. After I had ordered it I was perusing patterns to try to decide what I want to make with it and came across a newly added pattern Color Twister Shawl. I think it will look great in this and check out that border. Yes I know I dislike making cables but that border is stunning. So now I will have to search the stash to see if I have a green that will go well with Judy’s Favorite Quilt yarn or I’ll just have to hit a local yarn shop to find something that matches but at least I have a plan.
It’s been a very “yarny” week so far (hmmm I think it was last week too) but the potential color changing yarn I ordered for Art Deco arrived yesterday. Now I have to decide which of the three I want to use for this project. I’ve already ruled out the blues/green one. It’s very pretty but I want something more varied. I do think the blue one might become another one Spectra. I think I know which one I want to use but the final decision may come down to what colors I can find to go with it. But since I’m not starting until New Year’s Eve, I think I’ve got plenty of time to figure that out! LOL
Check out these cute little guys — don’t air plants make great hair! Better than a chia pet!
If you forget to water for a bit longer period of time than normal — they will probably still survive. But we will see. I got them for a coworker and I to put on our desks – they are only about 3 inches around or slightly less. Very cute but normally I forget to water the plants on my desk until they are doing their death droop. So far I’ve been able to bring them back – hopefully “Jack” is a hardy fellow who doesn’t get thirsty too often.
