It’s the fourth day of my four-day weekend. So I’ve spent the morning puttering, sitting on the patio, sippin my coffee and since there was nothing exciting to show for design wall Monday, I needed to make something right? LOL Actually the one wall is empty because I took the Ziggity blocks down to start sewing the rows. The other design wall still had CTS on it which I’m ignoring right now (and clearly have been for many months.
So since I had printed out a couple of the Frozen Delights blocks to make a small version, I pulled out the freezer paper this morning, traced them out and pulled some fabrics.
Three blocks are now hand appliqued. The blocks will finish at 4″ x 5.75″. But check out the fabric for the backing that I hung up next to them. I knew after I made the first Frozen Delights quilt that I had found some ice cream treat fabric so went digging through the stash. I’ll keep it with my blocks so when I get done I actually remember to use it. Check out what other quilters have on their design walls at Judy’s.
As for the latest giveaway – time to announce the lucky winners but first to answer questions about the yarn and what I am making.
The yarn is Dragonfly Fibers, Dragon Sock, and the color is Admiral Benbow. I love the colors in this. I started making socks with this and only had an inch or so of cuff made and when I picked them back up, decided I didn’t want to use this gorgeous yarn for just socks. So ripped it back out and am making Barb’s Kogi Ruffle because I think the shorter color expanses would look really good in this pattern.
So for the giveaway, you had to guess the number of stitches on my needle in the prior photo I posted of this project (I’ve knit a few more rows and needless to say it take a while to get across those first four rows before you start decreasing stitches!). There were guesses between 99 and 1095 stitches but the two people who came closest to the correct number of stitches were:
