Let’s get done with the pitiful report first — I made a quilt block yesterday — yep one 12.5″ quilt block. Well actually I cut two of them but the first one I cut everything the wrong size. So let’s see – -that must mean about the equivalent of a 1/4 yard of fabric leaving my stash?? Oh – not really – because the fabrics I used were recently sent to me. Hmmm how’s that for a totally useless stashbusting report. LOL But hey – I’m exciting that I actually had time to play with fabric and the sewing machine. Hope to do more of that today.
Judy has set the start date for our Dreambird project and info on when there will be a link box to show off your yarn choice – so if you are joining us in this project, be sure to check out her blog post .
Got some photos this very very sunny morning of the finished, blocked sock yarn shawl — ignore any yarn tails you may see hanging – those will get buried later today.
Red is an impossible color to photograph for me. it is not pinky as shows in the photos — it’s a true bright cherry red. I may have to try again once the sun isn’t as strong this evening.
It’s neck and neck in my Sticks ‘n Strings Challenge — 11 new projects started since the beginning of the year have been already finished and this shawl will be my 12th UFO finished since the beginning of the year.
