This really is not the same photo as the prior blog post showing this project – there is a whopping whole 5.75″ of ribbing done on this one and I think the other one was only 4. LOL That is the 5th ball of yarn in the photo — I got o carried away at the end of the 4th ball that I knit past the point where I could have bound this off and called it done. So I had to start that next ball and will knit on it tonight and at some point tomorrow night will start binding off all those stitches. There’s 880 yards in it before I started that 5th ball. It will be interested to see what size this really is when it’s bound off. I just about can’t pack any more yarn on those needles but since the lower edge of the shawl is what I’m working on – it’s anyone’s guess just how long it is.
A “Box of Fun” arrived today but I’ll wait until I can get some daylight photos. I bought a couple hanks of a new yarn I haven’t tried before because the colors were just fun – one is knock your eyeballs out bright but I love it – and the others are Hand Maiden Sea Silk which has such a soft lovely feel and a great sheen to it.
Now to go k2 p2 k2 p2 some more and think about what project I want to work on next.
