Well, it doesn’t look a whole lot different than last time despite the fact that it seems like I’ve been knitting and knitting and knitting. I’ve got about 4.5″ of ribbing on the ruffle. It’s hard to tell just how big this is since it’s smooshed up on circular needles — I’m at about 630 stitches on the needles and I’m on the fourth ball of yarn. I need to get to at least 800 yards and there’s 220 yds in each ball. I haven’t weighed what’s left in that ball to figure out for sure but I must have about 750-780 yards knit.
Just keep knitting just keep knitting…….
Linnie is done and blocked – a cute little baby sweater and good use of that sock yarn and one more project out of the UFO pile. I updated my Sticks ‘n Strings page and this is UFO finish 11 for this year — two more UFO finishes and I’ve hit that part of my challenge to myself. As for that no buying yarn – you know I blew that long ago and that evil little Loopy had some stunning yarns on yesterday’s updates and could be he was adding things to my cart and checking out ;-) Yes that’s it – blame Little Loopy – he’s a known troublemaker! I updated the yards knit to date for the finished projects and I’m up to 8,200 yards so far this year. No wonder I haven’t had time to quilt!
And I finally remembered to bring home from work part of a birthday gift from a friend.
Look at these lovely fabrics
She knows I love the fabrics with a bit of gold glitz in them – which these have – and fall shades are my favorites. And there’s a fun looking pattern she sent with it that uses a wedge ruler – which she also sent. I need to get in the sewing room and actually do some sewing! I did wash all the batik fabric that Hoffman Fabrics had sent last weekend but never got to ironing it so that’s next on the agenda before I can cut out the quilt I want to make with it. I definitely need more hours in the day!
